Join us as we spend a week cruising through the beautiful San Juan Islands.
Cruise with BYC members through the San Juan Islands. We will do our best to stay safe and healthy by following State and County guidelines for hygiene and social distancing. There will be limited planned activities, but one never knows what ad hoc events will arise. Click here to check the latest travel guidelines in the San Juans before you leave.
This is Part 1 of a 3 part cruise spanning 2 weeks. Part 2 is the 4th of July Cruise to Garrison Bay and Part 3 is a cruise into Canadian waters to visit Victoria, Sidney, Genoa Bay and Poets Cove. Join us for 1, 2 or all 3! Whatever works with your schedule. (Part 3 is dependent on the Canadian border reopening.)

Itinerary
- Saturday, 27 June, rendezvous in Inati Bay. Anchor and/or raft.
- Sunday, 28 June, travel to Spencer Spit. Anchor and/or raft. Explore the park.
- Monday and Tuesday, 29-30 June, visit Friday Harbor. Call for reservations ASAP — (360) 378-2688 — tell them you’re with BYC. We’ll plan dinner out on one of the evenings.
- Wednesday and Thursday, 1-2 July, visit Deer Harbor. Go to https://www.deerharbormarina.com/slip-inquiry.html and click the DockWA button for reservations. We’ll plan dinner at Deer Harbor Inn on one of the evenings if they’re open.
- Friday and Saturday 3-4 July, the BYC/Wheel & Keel raft up starts in Garrison Bay.
Join Pete and Jamie Foti for the annual 4th of July joint cruise with the Wheel and Keel.
We’re still doing the Garrison Bay 4th of July cruise but there’ll be some changes due to COVID 19 since we can’t gather in groups of any size.
1) Rafts will be limited to 3 boats or 5 people
2) There will be NO potluck-or-Drink Mixology Contest
3) There will be an “Appetizer Parade” on Sat July 4 at 4 pm. The appetizer will need to be a type that is “pre-assembled” and put on a plate with tings or spoon, and does not require “lingering”, such as dips, or cheese, meat & crackers. The dinghies can keep circulating until everyone is satisfied, or the food is gone. Those who wish to participate may gather by dinghy at the host boat, “Dragons Den”, and “exchange” appetizers. This will help with 6’ social distancing compliance, and still allow some socializing, albeit at a distance.
Garrison Bay is a great place to spend the 4th – it’s peaceful yet close enough to Roche Harbor to see the fireworks. You can raft up with the group or anchor nearby if you prefer. There’s lots to do during the day including exploring English Camp and hiking to the summit of Young’s Hill or going over to Roche Harbor. Look for the Foti’s boat – Dragon’s Den, a 46′ Ponderosa Europa Trawler. Bring extra fenders and dock lines for rafting.
