Over the 4th of July weekend, several BYC boats headed over to Garrison Bay with Wheel and Keel for the annual Independence Day raft-up. Saturday night we had a best drink mixing contest with lots of delicious entries but ultimately the prize went to Ariane Ringler for her Garrison Bay Breeze concoction. On Sunday we explored English Camp and climbed to the top of Young Hill for a spectacular view of the bay followed that evening by a boat-hop potluck dinner. Monday was a leisurely day but windy, which prevented us from taking the dinghies over to Roche Harbor for the fireworks so we watched them from our boats in Garrison Bay. It was a fun weekend and our thanks go to Jamie and Pete Foti for organizing this annual cruise. Also thanks for Guy and Barbara Thiemann for letting us hang out on their boat Steve and Meredith Ross for hosting liars dice.
