It’s the Water, It’s the Boat’s, It’s the Friends, and this was again shown this past weekend when the BYC held the second Inati Bay raft up this year. An exact count was not made, but it sure looked great with members boats rafted up, dinghies on the shore and people just relaxing. Some people hiked up and over the ridge to the amazing tide pools exposed by the -2.85 tide, others roasted hot dogs over the fire, there was some snorkeling, and a few took long afternoon naps. Ray & Sally’s dog Jack was seen kayaking near the point.

As we begin our cruising season in earnest and we head for far off destinations, sometimes it is easy to just cruise by Inati Bay, but it is a jewel that is hard to beat and your next chance to enjoy it will be during our Buccaneers Cruise, set for August 20-22nd, hosted by Troy and Cory Curran. The following week, on August 28th, Commodore Pete Foti will be holding the annual Commodores Picnic.

And don’t forget that September 17, 18 & 19 is our end of season cruise to Poet’s Cove hosted by John & Patricia Gargett. If you have not yet made your reservations for the Marina or Lodge, call Poets Cove (www.poetscove.com) and make them today. Be sure and let them know you are coming for the Bellingham Yacht Club event to get the special pricing for both the lodge rooms and marina.
